Locusts pre packed in tubs - Extra Large approx 10

Looking to buy extra large locusts online then look no further, Extra Large Locusts are between 1.5" to 2" so make a perfect meal for bearded dragons, water dragons, monitor  lizards plus most other medium to large pet lizards. Its no wonder extra large locusts are our most popular livefood.

Extra Large Locusts will live for approximately a week if kept in the livefood tub, they will fare better if transferred to a holding cage such as a plastic faunarium and just fed a dry bran diet (the stuff in the bottom of the livefood Tub). If you transfer them into a rearing cage with heat bulb and perching sites and feed them fresh greens daily they will live longer but beware they will grow and moult into adult locusts within a week! At this point you will lose some as if you do not have the conditions just right they will be unable to moult successfully, plus a certain % of locusts do not survive this final moult anyway so looking after them too well can be counter productive.

We always advise you feed off your locusts to your pet lizard as soon as possible that way you will minimise the natural wastage that will happen the longer you keep them in the tubs or in a rearing cage. It is better to buy fresh locusts each week than buy in bulk and try to make it last a month.
